After getting in early with YouTube's Partner Program (so that we could pay for this), I ramped up production and split Classic Game Room off on its own. In 2009 I went from experimenting with Classic Game Room to making it a full-time job, a dream job... but all dreams eventually come to an end. 2009 wasn't the end, though. This year was nuts, and we cut through the game review market with consistent, steady uploads and improved game reviews. CGR started to work with the big game companies and got reviews in early. I amped up the recording setup to basically record anything, including Atari 2600, Vectrex, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, whatever.

The 2009 season was shot on tape and edited with banks of hard drives from our documentary business. This is the year I made the Truxton review and so many other memorable videos. It was so much more fun before everyone became a star on their smartphone. In retrospect, you can really trace the collapse of civilization through the rise of smartphones.
