Toki: Going Ape Spit - Sega Genesis

If Zardoz were a video game with a giant ape this would be it, Toki Going Ape Spit! Play a big-headed monkey who slowly walks about spitting at enemies and eating fruit in this bizarre yet enjoyable 2D platformer.

Very good looking platformer, and weird. Absolutely unforgiving difficulty, though.

I remember this game from the arcade. It was strangely interesting and hard. There was this little kid who could finish it with 2 or 3 tokens though.

RECENT CGR COMMUNITY REVIEWS

 Missile Command - Arcade
"Such challenge" - elias

 Einhander - PlayStation
"JRPG king Square's foray into shmup territory, and to many, a masterpiece of the genre. The fully 3D polygonal graphics were top notch for the time, with weapon's fire & explosive effects accompanying the mayhem of scrapping metal giving a sense of visceral gratification that impresses to this day. Einhänder's unique premise of literally picking up the weapons of downed enemies coupled with its militaristic war stricken atmosphere make it a quintessential experience for any shmup enthusiast." - leaon79s

Kid Niki: Radical Ninja - NES
"Probably one of the stranger platformers for the system. Its tough as nails, but very addictive." - sherberttcat

Batman Arkham City: Game of the Year Edition - Xbox 360
"Taking the 3D Metroidvania concept of the first game and expanding the 'castle' into a city enclosure - The next logical step up for the series. The gameplay itself is largely unaltered, being the same group-based brawler emphasizing exact timing. But a larger area = more exploration & side missions, with genuinely clever puzzles adding detective variety. The GOTY Edition is the comprehensive package of this title, and so the ideal version of this epitome of super hero game design. A Must Play." - leaon79s

Donkey Kong Country - Game Boy Color
"Its as terrible as the SNES original is good." - sherberttcat
