I finally beat this game recently and it is lame. The temple of the of the Ocean King is one of the worst temples ever and you have to go through it SIX TIMES, and the sailing is just a interactive loading screen. Other than that the map is cool and the other dungeons are cool. These problems are too much though. And the ending is sooooo bad.

Probably one of the weaker Zelda games - I've always felt Zelda games spent too much time in dungeons so the idea of one huge dungeon central to the game with time limits really doesn't appeal to me. Being able to draw on the map is a nice touch but I've never really felt much of a drive to finish this game, I've tried playing it multiple times and have never beaten it.

the thing is, i'm not a fan of the ds games in the series. they are clunky, have control issues, and they feel like they couldn't hold together the zelda cinematic style and nintendo didn't know what to do to make it visually work. this is the better of the 2 in my opinion, but its not saying all too much. the game is pretty big, but its still a bit clunky and awkward. the story is also a bit inconsistent with windwaker, but overall isn't awful. its a decent zelda game.
