Resident Evil Revelations - PC

Veltro is back and Jill, Chris, Jessica and a bunch of other great looking people with shotguns are out to stop them and save the Earth! Originally released on the Nintendo 3DS, the PC version of Resident Evil Revelations is solid, good looking and fun for fans of the series.

Story is nothing special unless you're a hardcore RE fan. Gameplay is a lot of fun - more similar to RE4. Visuals could've been better, especially texture resolution. You can tell it's a handheld port, but the gameplay and interface are well done. Higher difficulties add more zombies on screen and fewer health/ammo pickups. Replayable with challenge modes.

Controls are very tight and works great with even in low settings on windows 7, with a decent video card. it is all the 3ds game in one big HD package, works great with either a 360 controller or a mouse and keyboard, if you are looking for a great game on your PC then look no further than Resident Evil Revelations!

I forgot to mention that this is the closest we have to the zombies from the old games. None of them will attack you with guns or speak different languages, they'll just go after you with what they have in their body.

This is the Resident Evil we've all been waiting for. Not perfect, but a worthy game to the franchise. It is very oldschool, has enigmas and puzzles, a decent storyline and you play with Jill! There's probably gonna be a sequel and Capcom gave us the good news that they will make the next game a Survivor Horror, because of the fans. But this is a must play for any Resident Evil fan, and much better than anything released after Resident Evil 4. Bad point: Enemies textures are very low.

This game was a breathe of fresh air. They actually made a Resident Evil game that didn't seem like it took scenes out of a cheesy action movie. It is more similar to Resident Evil 4 than 5 and 6 which is great.

I like the part where she shoots zombies.

I agree that part is pretty cool.

RECENT CGR COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Super Mario Land - Game Boy
"It's a classic. I love the music in particular; it's some of the freshest stuff I've heard from this series. As dated as it looks, I still find myself coming back to it every now and then. And that's more than I can say about my other GB games." - Smash Bros Maestro

Streets of Rage 3 - Sega Genesis
"The controls in this game are beyond excellent; they're perfect. Streets of Rage 3 has the tightest, deepest controls of any Beat em up I've ever played (and I've played a lot). And the soundtrack? Just brilliant. It has the most creative music of any Mega Drive game I've ever played. And the art direction is amazing...this game is just outstanding, even better than the second IMO. It's one of my favorite games ever made. And the Japanese version is even better! Imagine that." - Smash Bros Maestro

Streets of Rage 2 - Sega Genesis
"A HUGE improvement of the original game. The controls and graphics are excellent (though not as good as SoR 3) and the soundtrack is really, really cool. This is an outstanding beat-em up; I highly recommend it." - Smash Bros Maestro

 Yoshi's Story - Nintendo 64
"On its own, it's a good game. The game's art direction is simply wonderful and it looks like an art project, although I must say I dislike the pre-rendered character sprites; it doesn't fit with the game's traditional look. The controls are a bit strange; the game uses the analogue stick even though it's a 2D platformer, so that definitely takes some getting used to. The game's story mode can be completed in about an hour 1/2, BUT the game has lots of replay value in its many unlockable stages." - Smash Bros Maestro

 Battlefield 3 - Xbox 360
"This game gets a lot of things right with the multiplayer i.e. game modes, massive maps and different, upgradable classes. It certainly puts Call of Duty to shame due to its necessary degree of strategy but quite frankly, I became uninterested in continuing after a pretty short period of time. It's very accessible and a good simulation, I simply prefer real time strategy games as I feel those tend to be more engaging and rewarding and the outcome is more in control of the player." - teddykongcountry
