Phalanx - Super Nintendo

Infamous for it's bizarre box art, Phalanx is a rather mediocre shooter.

Average to slightly above average game. As a shump addict I had to have it. Craziest cover art ever.

Ha ! I finally know what this damn game is about. I never knew how or when I would come across to seeing this game or even playing it but... yea... it does seem to look like an average shooter.

I remember playing this as a kid. My brothers and I rented it from the infamous Phar-Mor for a buck. It wasn't too bad, but it wasn't anything special. I loved Gradius III a heck of a lot more than this one, but I don't remember this game having the same lag time.

An average shump that would have been forgotten about long ago if not for the unusual cover art on the box.

Yes, everyone knows about the box art, but is this horizontal-scrolling shooter any good? Somewhat. Certainly not for the faint of heart in terms of difficulty as it will punish you.

Power Stone 2 - Sega Dreamcast
"There’s no better party game on the system (or ever?) than this phenomenal brawler. It features slick art design and well-crafted fighting mechanics while still being remarkably easy to pick up and play. 1v1 isn’t as good as the first one but everything else is better. The single-player adventure, with its new item collecting and crafting, is finally worth gorging upon. But four-player is where this game shines. Its dynamic levels are full of hilarious opportunities to punish your friends." - stereopathic

 Missile Command - Arcade
"Yes! I found a Missile Command arcade! very good trackball." - wolf

Double Dragon LCD Handheld - Miscellaneous
"One of the few Tiger Electronic LCD games that were actually playable. It has stages!" - wolf

 Power Stone - Sega Dreamcast
"When you play this one, you’re gonna discover wonderfully designed characters, arenas and mechanics (which are much deeper than you’d think just by looking). You and a friend could play this every day for eternity and never get bored. However, single player can get pretty repetitive after a while and the characters have some balance issues. If you have one friend that plays with you, this is the PS to get. If you have more than that or play mostly alone, look for the sequel." - stereopathic

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - PSP
"This game was fun. Didn't finish though, I borrowed it from a friend for a bit" - KAOS
