Phalanx - Super Nintendo

Infamous for it's bizarre box art, Phalanx is a rather mediocre shooter.

Average to slightly above average game. As a shump addict I had to have it. Craziest cover art ever.

Ha ! I finally know what this damn game is about. I never knew how or when I would come across to seeing this game or even playing it but... yea... it does seem to look like an average shooter.

I remember playing this as a kid. My brothers and I rented it from the infamous Phar-Mor for a buck. It wasn't too bad, but it wasn't anything special. I loved Gradius III a heck of a lot more than this one, but I don't remember this game having the same lag time.

An average shump that would have been forgotten about long ago if not for the unusual cover art on the box.

Yes, everyone knows about the box art, but is this horizontal-scrolling shooter any good? Somewhat. Certainly not for the faint of heart in terms of difficulty as it will punish you.

 Forgotten Worlds - Sega Genesis
"Forgotten Worlds is another great inexpensive Gem on the Genesis! It's so addicting and fun to play! You play as two bad ass dudes on jet packs flying around the screen shooting anything that moves! The key to surviving is collecting money that drops from enemies. Doing so will enable you to purchase lives, armor, weapons and upgrades at the shops. The bosses are huge, the difficulty isn't too steep, and the music is awesome! There is nothing to complain about in this game! Get it now!" - Truxton4life

Fairchild Video Entertainment System - Fairchild Channel F
"It's pioneering use of programmable cartridges gave birth to a revolution that would be still felt in decades to come, but the system itself is very unimpressive, as are the games for it." - sherberttcat

 Adventure Island - NES
"I love this game. The platforming is solid, the music is much improved from the monotonous arcade music, and the graphics are excellent. But man is it hard!" - cammysbutt

 Kirby's Adventure - NES
"I love Kirby, and this is an excellent Kirby game. Graphics are an EASY 10/10! The music is also excellent as are the cute sound effects! This game does hold its value, though, so I emulate it. However, the difficulty is definitely low for an NES game. If you can find it cheap enough, it's a must have for the NES." - cammysbutt

 Kid Icarus - NES
"This is a game that holds its value, so I don't have it in my collection yet. However, through emulation, this is a really fun game. I love it to death!" - cammysbutt
