Gremlins was released to theaters in 1984. Gremlins Unleashed was released to the Game Boy Color in 2001. That’s sort of a strange time gap, but Gremlins Unleashed is a solid—if forgettable—platformer.
One important rule--Don’t get water on Gremlins Unleashed. Actually, that’s a rule for most game cartridges, but you really wouldn’t want to do that to this one as well. A straightforward 2D platformer, Gremlins Unleashed is as simple as the genre gets: jump on enemies and collect items. Playing as either Gizmo or Stripe, you move through open levels as you search for key items. Gremlins Unleashed isn’t a spectacular game, but it’s a solid run-of-the-mill platformer.
Oh, and don’t feed it after midnight! Gremlins Unleashed is a single-player platformer released in 2001 for the Game Boy Color.
