F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin - PlayStation 3

F.E.A.R. 2 is an intense, storyline driven first person shooter that is creepy as #$#! As if Poltergeist wasn't bad enough, now you have to gun your way through a military conspiracy and supernatural beings. Alma a super creepy!!

I'm nit a PC fan, but this game would've been better on PC. Anyway F.E.A.R was a great series. And well it'sstill is, I feel the that it's not the same, why? because they added the mech levels where you shoot down your enemies with a mech, still a great game

FEAR2 is an FPS with creepy environments/effects, great level design, and awesome shooting mechanics. It has a storyline that combines 'Akira' with 'Ringu'; i.e. the psychic power gone haywire thing + paranormal stuff. What I like the most about the game is the shooting mechanics, which is additively fun. The creepiness of the game is perfectly balanced to draw you in and keeps the tension up. In many ways it is similar in feeling to 'Doom 3' and 'Quake 4', except it has a paranormal focus.

This is a decent shooter. The story is not stellar but the gameplay is solid and serviceable. There's not much going on with the pretty unappealing environments and settings. The mech stages are a nice change of pace, the addition of fast moving melee enemies helps, and the guys that raise the dead are interesting, but the game is mostly a fairly bland shooter without a great story. It's still good, though, and the F.E.A.R. lineage adds something at the very least. It's a solid but not amazing.

The game is a lot of fun but liked the first one better. This one isn't that scary but creepy nonetheless.

 Powerslave - Sega Saturn
"This is one of the better "Doom clone" FPS games of the era. The Egyptian setting gives the game plenty of character, the game uses a non-linear open world design for its levels much like Metroid Prime, and there's even multiple endings. The only faults are some frustrating platforming sections and cheap enemy placement though. This Saturn version is the definitive version since it supports richer colors, crisper audio, and even supports the Saturn 3D controller for precision control." - fasttquick

Arcade Hits Pack: Gunblade NY & L.A. Machineguns - Wii
"If you like rail shooters, then you'll love this. IIRC the compilation was $20 new back in the day. That's a bit steep for a pair of titles, with no real replay value, and mid 1990s visuals that haven't aged very well. But if you can get it for ten bucks or under, I say go for it." - sherberttcat

Arcade Hits Pack: Gunblade NY & L.A. Machineguns - Wii
"The pointer controls make it the best way to play Gunblade NY & L.A. Machineguns on the Wii. However, the games themselves have not aged well. The blocky, mid 90's era graphics look ugly in 480p and the gameplay itself is really simple and doesn't evolve over time. Only hardcore rail shooter and Sega arcade fans need apply." - fasttquick

 Powerslave - Sega Saturn
"Long before Serious Sam: The First Encounter, Power Slave aka Entombed was adding a bit of Egyptian flare to the FPS Genre. The engine is very reminiscent of Duke Nukem 3D, and looks and plays rather well on the Saturn." - sherberttcat
