Is this even a racing game? Yes. Is it so much more? Absolutely. Awesome design and varied mechanics that keep you on your toes and the gameplay consistently fresh. The most amazing part about what this game does is the seamless integration of a vast array of ideas that bombard the player almost unconsciously. Truly a stand out title and underrated gem.

 Starcraft - PC
"Awesome game. Remember that it didn't review that well on this side of the Atlantic when released, but I played the demo to death until I realised that this time the Yanks were right and it was something special. Picked up the Battle Chest and never looked back. Had really enjoyed the gameplay and balanced, asymmetric races from playing the demo but wasn't prepared for such a compelling, edge-of-your-seat story with plenty of intrigue and unforgettable characters. Game had all that and more!" - ansionnach

 Star Wars: X-Wing - PC
"Nice guys finish last... so fly for the Rebel Alliance if you're one of those... or love a challenge. X-Wing is not an easy game, especially if you want to earn as many medals as possible by destroying every Star Destroyer and all of its Tie squadrons in each mission. This is especially difficult where you've got to keep something other than yourself alive. The graphics are sparse and there's not much of a story but the gameplay and challenge is where this game truly excels." - ansionnach

James Pond: Underwater Agent - Sega Genesis
"I remember this game. I remember trying to beat it, but it was hard to follow what exactly you needed to do." - scipioafricanus

 General Chaos - Sega Genesis
"The game is fun, especially with two players. Playing as the Commandos (you have direct control over two guys) is a must though, until you can get a handle of the controls. The original creators had a kickstarter about making a new version of the game for IOS, and I would have been nice if it had been successful. Perhaps in the future (fingers crossed)!" - scipioafricanus

Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast - PC
"Expansions for RPGs have often been a bit of a mixed bag going back to the ones for both Ultima VII games, which were short and bestowed you with loads of 1337, overpowered loot for a bit too much cash. This one adds a few gameplay tweaks as well as some extra areas (with accompanying adventures) to Baldur's Gate's Sword Coast. Even if this was still sold separately, Durlag's Tower is a superb dungeon and would be worth the price of entry. Since it's now included with BG it's a must-play!" - ansionnach
