the second installment in the excellent doom franchise what could be better in life than blasting demons in the face with a double barrel shotgun and picking up the beserk powerup to puch demons so hard that captain falcon would be jealous also as many have said there are many many mods for this game so many you could spend the rest of eternity in hell and you might enjoy it too..

a pure classic that has aged gracefully for a lot of fans, though i find myself praising doom 3 more. doom 2 has some of the most amazing mods sadly only available on PC, so this version isn't the most recommended version imo. its a little dry on variation and wont do much more than play the classic which is still good, though i think you should definitely get doom 2 on PC and a few wads to play over skulltag instead.

I got this in the Doom 3 BFG edition pack. I never played this back in the day. I love the game play for the game, I just majorly dislike the controls so I got on steam and downloaded the PC version and modded it to the Brutal Doom version which is the version I recommend. If you feel like you must have it on PS3 or 360, then this one will work cause this is the original PC version with the original controls. Those controls just didn't age too well.

When I was 9 years old I told my Uncle Ron that I liked video games. He excitedly pulled me to his PC, and fired up Doom II. My mind was blown. I not seen anything like that before. At this point, of course, it's passe. But in its day, Doom II showed me that the science fiction of today could easily become the reality of tomorrow.

Sears Electronic Numbers Game - Crappy Handhelds
"Fun fact, same procedure to hack computer is used in Fallout 3/New vegas." - secuda

 Fighter Maker - PlayStation
"You can make the hell out of a fighter...and then plunk it right in the middle of a very mediocre engine. Pass." - sherberttcat

Top Gun - Konami - Crappy Handhelds
"Given the technology of the time, this was still bad." - sherberttcat

Nintendo GameCube Controller - Nintendo GameCube
"It's EXTREMELY well made. However I do have some complaints: first, the controller is a bit small for adult hands, which makes tapping the L&R triggers painful as my index fingers tend to jam while pressing them. Second, the Z button is too small. And third, the D-pad is somewhat awkward in that it's very far from the handle and rather small; however it functions perfectly, which is more than I can say about the Xbox D-pad. Those are my only complaints. It really is an outstanding controller." - Smash Bros Maestro

 Halo: Combat Evolved - Xbox
"One hell of a terrific shooter. The graphics were incredible for the time, and they are still scrumptious to this day. The gameplay is the best in the series IMO; the weapons in CE just feel better than in the sequels. That said, the weapons are not very well balanced. A few weapons (like the pistol) are overpowered, while others are weak. Minor nitpicks aside, this is one of the best FPS I've played. And at the very least, it is the funnest shooter I've ever played. Highly recommended." - Smash Bros Maestro
