I understand the flack of the character design but overall this is still a fun action game on its own. . .the combat feels much for fluid and easier to perform combos. I'm not saying the original 4 are bad but this DmC feels more open to newcomers.

DMC is an excellent action game. The game was surrounded with controversy upon release, which is too bad. If not for the negative knee-jerk reactions by the DMC hardcore fans (many of whom judged the game without playing it) developer, Ninja Theory, might have released a sequel. In my opinion, the level and art design were imaginative and interesting. The action mechanics are solid as a rock and the animations are fast and fluid. Combine that with music from Combichrist! A great action game.

While many DMC fans didn't care for the new direction Ninja Theory took with the art design, this is still a great action game that is highly replayable.

The combat and environments are awesome in this game. The messages that pop up on the walls and floor really add to the atmosphere as well. That being said, this game is somewhat of a guilty pleasure if you're an adult. Its content, narrative, and delivery are geared toward a very young and angst ridden demographic. I'm thinking maybe 13-17. It is also, quite obviously, a huge departure from the series; so if you're a fan, know what you're getting into.

It lacks some of the charm of the original series and its attempts at being topical come across as a bit ham-fisted, but DmC delivers where it counts most. The combat remains as stylish as ever, the art direction is fantastic, and the shifting world is really fun providing many platforming challenges. I hope Capcom can cut though the bellyaching of a jaded fanbase and give Ninja Theory another chance at the series. If Devil May Cry fans give it a chance, they will be pleasantly surprised.

Bleh. While I don't quite hate DmC, it really did feel like a missed opportunity. The game itself is very gorgeous, however the gameplay is too simple and easy. Recommended if you haven't played a Devil May Cry game, but if you have, just stay with 4 and the HD collections, or the original 3 on PS2. Maybe if you can get it for less than $20.

Need for Speed - Most Wanted U - Wii U
"The most under-rated game on Wii U, and the game with the best soundtrack" - De Dominayta

Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender - PC
"Yes my dream of a cat game! My cat is an aqua kitty when in the bathtub." - Cipher The Demon Lord

 FIFA 13 - PlayStation 3
"While the jump from 12 to 13 doesnt seem as big as the one from 11 to 12, or even 13 to 14, the vastly improved manager mode is possibly the best one EA have made, with managing International teams a great mode-extender" - De Dominayta

 FIFA 13 - Wii U
"A good but a bad Fifa game. While it is missing quite a lot of features, and is very basic, what is availible is very good" - De Dominayta

Boom Box Boy - Game Boy Color
"Every time you turn off the system and turn it on, the radio resets. Which means to get back to the channel you were listening to, you have to keep tapping the Scan button and listen for the channel. And let's not ignore the fact that with the Boom Box Boy, you can't have the link cable or Worm Light plugged in. Minor issues, but issues nonetheless." - dragonwolf123
