A Valley Without Wind 2 takes us back to the end of the world, or rather, just a year afterward. The powerful demon Demonaica has risen to power, and is actively recruiting survivors to help manage his campaign of terror. Unfortunately for him, one of those recruits - vis a vis, you - is in fact a leader in an underground resistance movement, infiltrating his ranks for the purpose of being granted a dark crystal of immortality (+1), a useful tool for an adventurer sawing through acres and acres of side-scrolling platforming in search of evil... storm generators?
A Valley Without Wind offers single-player and online co-op challenges, as players struggle to rebel against Demonaica and his minions. The crafting-centric RPG mechanics of the previous version have been toned back, though, in favor of one of five set arsenals of spells tied to elemental disciplines, while the overworld management has expanded into a full-on game of turn-based resource management. It's your job to direct the last remaining survivors to search out new resources and allies, build farms, factories, fortifications and clinics, and engage with the smaller monsters Demonaica throws at you while your randomly-rolled hero gets to work exploring, leveling up, and finding new and interesting pants to wear.
